Michelle Feeney is a beauty industry powerhouse. From being on the team that grew MAC Cosmetics into the world’s biggest makeup brand, to persuading Kate Moss to strip off to show off her St Tropez tan, Michelle has been behind some of the industry’s most exciting brands.
These days, she is doing it for herself, with Floral Street. Launched in 2017, the fragrance collection is British, sustainable and “powered by flowers”. With industry-first innovation such as biodegradable pulp cartons, Floral Street has quickly become an award-winning favourite in over 20 countries.
We asked Michelle to share the products that are her own favourites, from Floral Street and beyond.
Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Mind Bath & Shower Oil, £50
Sleep and happiness is the best beauty treatment of all. If you sleep well and you are happy then your skin looks radiant. I do believe that happiness keeps you young. No matter what I’m wearing or where I am in my life, I’ve felt the most beautiful and alive when I’ve been happy!
I put essential oils on my feet and the back of my neck just before I go to sleep. At the moment I’m loving Aromatherapy Associates pure essential oils.
I’ve also taken to wearing an eye mask at night, even picking ones up from flights I’ve been on, which gives me a more meditative way to fall asleep and helps keep the light out.

Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid Body Cream, £24
It’s not always about what can be seen, you want to feel that your whole body is nurtured. I always choose beautifully hydrating body creams and some of the mass brands like Nivea are good. But sometimes you just have to treat yourself to something a bit more luxurious.
At this time of the year, I love to slather on our Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid Body Cream first thing in the morning. The scent lasts all day without being too overpowering and makes me feel comforted but confident.
Fudge Professional Everyday Clean Blond Damage Rewind Violet Toning Shampoo and Conditioner, £24
Fudge has great haircare products for blondes. Hair colour and a good cut is really important as you age. As you get older you really need to look at what your hair says about you. It’s not necessarily about looking younger, it’s about looking the best you can at any age. Getting the right cut and colour can have a dramatic effect and make you feel really good about yourself.
Floral Street Sunflower Pop Eau de Parfum, £25
I designed Floral Street to help people become connoisseurs of scent, like you do of wine or chocolate, and to appreciate the art of fragrance and provenance of ingredients.
By matching scents to individual moods and asking “who will you be today?”, we guide people to their favourite fragrances to help them feel good about themselves. At the moment I’m spritzing our new Sunflower Pop because it echoes my vibrant and expressive personality.
When I founded my brand four years ago, I knew that sustainability was the new luxury. As a mother of two young adults, I feel a responsibility to do what I can to help protect our planet for the future generations. Therefore, it was really important to me to launch an ethical fragrance brand and make it a beacon for change in beauty.

MAC Love Me Liquid Lip Colour in Hey Good Looking!, £20
Look at how you apply your makeup, discover the new you and evolve your look. We tend to stick to what we learnt earlier in our lives and that may not suit us as we get older.
At a MAC counter, expert makeup artists can make you aware of how your face may have changed and which products you should now be using. Cream products on eyes and cheeks, for example, can often make your skin look drier and highlight lines so soft powder alternatives are better. And use a lip stain instead of a lip liner, or a hydrating lip colour – this is my favourite.
